- Model on "do do do", moving the phrase in body
- Sing on "do do do", with body showing emphasis
- Isolate trouble spots
- perhaps m. 11, chant while keeping eighth note pulse in hands
- perhaps scooping at beginning of 2nd phrase, staccato "doot"
- Add text
- Keep phrasing in mind
- Listen for unified vowels
2. "La" Section, mm. 12-20
- Model 2nd sop melody with "petting the cat" motion
- All sing 2nd sop melody
- Take repeat, sing "On the grass" verse, read in 3 parts
- Sing melody, play S1 and A
- Isolate parts
- Emphasize listening for S2 melody
- When successfull, try a cappella
